The harbour-facing site, on the doorstep of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, will be redeveloped from an 18-storey office block into a 21-storey luxury residential development with apartments benefiting from floor-to-ceiling wintergardens on the harbour-facing southside and sizable balconies on the northside.
Ray Karslake, Aqualand Development Director, Foreshore, commented, “This iconic site needs an iconic building partner to ensure we deliver an exceptional development for our clients. These aren’t your average homes but rather residences that will create a legacy for Sydney’s foreshore.
“We are drawing on design features that bring in the beautiful, waterside view as well as the scenic streetscape of the North Shore. We have a progressive target to minimise construction waste, maximise time efficiencies and exceed the market’s expectations. We are proud to have Roberts Pizzarotti on board with us to help meet our targets.”
Alison Mirams, Chief Executive Officer, Roberts Pizzarotti, said “Our appointment provided Aqualand with access to Roberts Pizzarotti’s experienced construction team to deliver a full suite of construction services from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) all the way through to lump sum, fixed time Design & Construct. We look forward to commencing on site in March.”
Blue at Lavender Bay, located at 61 Lavender Street, will include 124 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, starting from $1.04million, four retail lots and five live-work hybrid lots, in addition to a three-level basement carpark. The 344 sqm penthouse boasts 360-degree views from its wrap-around, outdoor patio.
Standard apartment features include parquet timber floors, natural stone bathroom tiles and kitchen benchtops, integrated Gaggenau kitchen appliances and a Smart App for the home automation system controlling the air-conditioning, lighting and blinds.
Blue at Lavender Bay is due for completion in late 2020. Construction commences in March 2018.
The development is approximately 350m from Milsons Point Train station and bus stops, providing a short commute into Circular Quay and Sydney’s CBD.
